THE ART OF ARRIVING: RANGE ROVER PRIVATE RESIDENCE AT VILLA BEER.
A mysterious destination, an exclusive private dinner and a journey through the past, present and future: Auto Stahl invited selected guests to the first Range Rover Private Residence at Villa Beer in Vienna. Under the theme ‘The Art of Arriving’, modern luxury was brought to life in a truly special way.
The experience began even before the guests stepped out of their own front doors: a Range Rover collected them personally and took them to a location in Vienna that had been kept secret until then. It was only upon arrival that the destination was revealed: Villa Beer, one of the most significant architectural landmarks of Viennese Modernism.
AHEAD OF ITS TIME. THEN. AND NOW.
As early as the late 1920s, architects Josef Frank and Oskar Wlach were ahead of their time with Villa Beer. Open-plan layouts, fluid transitions and a new understanding of living comfort made the house an exceptional example of modern architecture.
Almost 100 years later, this pioneering spirit meets the Range Rover philosophy: Modern Luxury, which combines design, comfort and innovation.
During an exclusive guided tour of the villa, guests were given an insight into the history and architecture of Villa Beer, before a private dinner featuring a specially created menu provided the culinary highlight of the evening.
WE’VE SAVED A SEAT FOR THE FUTURE.
At the festively laid table, one armchair was deliberately left empty. A place for the future – symbolically reserved for the new Range Rover Electric.
For whilst Villa Beer dared to look to the future as far back as the 1920s, Range Rover is now taking its philosophy of Modern Luxury into the electric age. With unmistakable design, the utmost in comfort and legendary off-road capabilities – and, in future, fully electric too.
Thus, three time periods converged that evening: the past, represented by Villa Beer; the present, represented by the Range Rover Private Residence; and the future, represented by the Range Rover Electric.
THE ART OF ARRIVING – RIGHT UP TO THE VERY LAST MOMENT
The return journey was also part of the experience. Guests were photographed upon arrival. When they got back into their Range Rovers after dinner, their personalised souvenir photo was already waiting for them in the vehicle.
A small detail that once again captured the spirit behind ‘The Art of Arriving’: a special experience does not begin only at the destination, nor does it end with the farewell.
